RE4000 Connect — Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 11, 2026

1. Introduction

ITelligent Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the RE4000 Connect mobile application (the “App”), a companion application for the RE4000 racing scanner. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

The App is offered in the United States only.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we collect:

Passwords are never stored, transmitted, or managed by the App. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We do not have access to your password.

Device Information

The App collects limited technical information about your mobile device:

If you are signed in, crash and error reports are associated with your account identifier and email address, and with the identifier of the scanner connected at the time, so that we can diagnose issues affecting your specific device and follow up on support requests. Crash reporting is provided by Sentry (see Section 5).

Scanner Device Information

When you connect an RE4000 scanner, the App reads technical identifiers from that device — such as its Bluetooth address, serial number, and installed firmware version — in order to establish the connection and determine whether a firmware or content update applies.

When you install a firmware update, we record the update on our servers: the scanner’s serial number, the firmware version installed, the date, the app version and platform, and — if you are signed in — the email address of the account that performed the update. We keep this record to provide support, track which devices are up to date, and diagnose failed updates.

Bluetooth Information

The App requests Bluetooth permissions solely to communicate with RE4000 scanners and compatible hardware. Bluetooth is used only to:

On Android 12 and later, the App declares its Bluetooth scanning permission with the neverForLocation flag and requests no location permission. On Android 11 and earlier, the operating system requires location permission to perform Bluetooth scanning; if you are on one of those versions the App will ask for it, but the App does not read, derive, collect, or store your device’s location on any platform or Android version. We do not log information about Bluetooth devices other than those you choose to connect to. Bluetooth data is not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking of any kind.

Photos (Custom Home Screen Image)

The App can set a custom home screen image on your RE4000 scanner. When you choose to use this feature, the App asks for access to your photo library so you can pick an image. The image you select is resized and converted on your device and transferred only to your scanner. It is never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see it. The App does not access your photo library at any other time.

Frequency Lists and Custom Content

Frequency lists you download are delivered from our cloud service to the App and then transferred to your scanner.

Custom series and edited frequency entries that you create in the App are stored locally on your mobile device and transferred only to your RE4000 scanner. This content is not uploaded to our servers, is not shared with other users, and is not visible to us. Deleting the App from your device deletes this content.

Usage Information

We collect information about how the App is used, including:

This information is used in aggregate to improve reliability and performance, except for the firmware update records and crash reports described above, which are associated with your account as explained in those sections.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect precise or approximate geolocation, contacts, microphone or camera input, health data, financial account information, biometric identifiers, or advertising identifiers. Photo library access is used only at your request, for the home screen image feature described above, and images never leave your device except to your scanner.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles.

4. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard measures designed to protect your information, including:

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we follow recognized industry practices to protect your data.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services, which process data on our behalf:

ServicePurpose
Google FirebaseAccount creation and sign-in, cloud database and file storage, backend processing, app-integrity verification, and aggregate usage analytics
SentryCrash reporting and error diagnostics

Google Firebase services process data in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Sentry processes crash data in accordance with Sentry’s Privacy Policy, available at https://sentry.io/privacy/.

We do not integrate advertising networks, attribution SDKs, or social media SDKs.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information may be disclosed only:

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active. Crash reports are retained for approximately 90 days. Aggregate usage data is retained for up to 14 months. Firmware update records are retained while your account is active; when you delete your account, they are stripped of your name and email address and retained only as anonymous device service history.

Deleting Your Account

You may delete your account and its associated personal information at any time in the App: open Settings and select Delete Account.

Account deletion is permanent, not a deactivation or suspension. When you delete your account, we delete your account record, email address, and authentication credentials, and remove your identifying information from firmware update records, within 30 days. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten. We may retain a limited record where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Custom series and frequency lists you created are stored only on your mobile device and your scanner, and are removed when you uninstall the App or reset your scanner.

8. Your Privacy Rights

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
